Conflict Resolution: A Prevention Approach (Wednesday morning, April 23)
Most people prefer to avoid conflict rather than confront it, but such avoidance usually leads to bigger problems later on. This session will provide
an overview of conflict resolution strategies, using scenario-based problem solving to help develop options.

Basic Mediation Skills (Wednesday afternoon, April 23)
As an officer or as a co-worker, every firefighter will have the opportunity to mediate informally when others are in conflict. Informal mediation is also a skill that is often measured on promotional assessment centers. How effective are you as a mediator? This workshop will present basic skills of mediation and provide opportunities for participants to practice.

Creative Confrontation" (Friday afternoon, April 25)
In this workshop, we will present a summary of the conflict resolution principles presented in the intensive sessions on Wednesday morning.
