Stewart Rose's workshops

Incident Action Planning (Saturday morning, March 27; repeats in afternoon)
This workshop is designed for fire service officers who are responsible for managing emergency incidents. The concepts involved in incident action planning will be presented using slides, videotape, and a tabletop simulator. Participants will work individually and in groups to examine case studies and solve simulated structural fire incidents using an action-planning model. The tabletop scenarios will range from simple house fires to large multi-story commercial and industrial occupancies.

Strategic Planning (Sunday morning, March 28, first session; repeats in second session)
This class is designed to introduce participants to strategic planning, and to develop participants' skills to take part in the strategic planning process within their own organizations. This will be a highly interactive environment where participants can reinforce their own planning skills and learn from the other participants as well as from the instructor. Several examples of strategic plans will be provided that can be adapted to any project or organization.
